Updates on Wrestlemania, Hall of Fame, Marty Jannetty, Stacy Keibler, Kanyon, TNA, & More
Greetings!

There is much happening in wrestling and you can expect another news update within a day or so with more news you need to know.

Let's get right to it, shall we?

KAYON REVEALS HIS SEXUALITY

In a previous column, I told you that wrestler Chris Kanyon (Chris Klucsarits) "came out" and told a wrestling crowd in Canada that was gay. He then posted a somewhat cryptic message on his site implying that perhaps just his character was gay. Well, the truth is out. He openly admitted at Sunday's WWL 6:05 Reunion pay per view taping that he is, indeed, gay. The crowd was said to be supportive and his fans on his website and his myspace.com area have been unwavering in their support of him. Where he goes from here, I don't know, but at least that is one unsolved mystery cleared up!

WWL 6:05 REUNION PPV TAPINGS

As noted in my previous column, the WWL 6:05 Reunion pay per view tapings took place on Sunday March 5 in Orlando, FL. The pay per view will air on April 19. I will give you the results of the show in a separate column in case you don't want to know ahead of time. There were dozens of stars on hand, notably Bruno Sammartino, and the show was said to be fun and was an interesting mix of older superstars and younger wrestlers that you all know.

The stars you can expect to see on the pay per view are: The Nitro Girls (I will be talking with Spice soon and will post the interview when it is finished), Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Nikoli Volkoff, Iron Shiek, Brian Knobbs, Rick Steiner, Virgil, Koko B. Ware, Disco Inferno, Jimmy Snuka, Greg Valentine, Jimmy Hart, Vampiro, Eddie Colon, Carlos Colon, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Kamala, Bruno Sammartino, Dory Funk, Jr., Mike Graham, JJ Dillon, Tully Blanchard, David Flair, Diamond Dallas Page, Kanyon, "Bullet" Bob, Scott, and Brad Armstrong, Bobby Heenan, The Midnight Express, Jim Cornette, Scott Steiner, and Buff Bagwell. You will see all three Hebners: Earl, Dave, and Brian in action as referees, plus other familiar faces in other roles. With a line up like that, the pay per view should be well worth buying!

WRESTLEMANIA LINE UP SO FAR

Wrestlemania is only a few weeks away! Here's the line up as of tonight. This will probably change after Smackdown this week.

* WWE Champion John Cena vs. Triple H.
* World Champion Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton.
* World Tag Team Champions Big Show & Kane vs. Carlito & Chris Masters.
* U.S. Champion Chris Benoit vs. JBL.
* Money In The Bank Ladder Match with the winner receiving a guaranteed contract for a WWE Title match with Rob Van Dam vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Ric Flair (more participants to be determined)
* Edge vs. Mick Foley in a Hardcore Match
* Vince McMahon vs. Shawn Michaels

More matches will be added at the Smackdown tapings, next week's Raw, and I am sure there will be a women's title match as well.

WWE HALL OF FAME UPDATE

Here are the latest inductees into the 2006 WWE Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held the night before Wrestlemania and parts of the show will be televised on the USA network.

Bret Hart -- to be inducted by Stone Cold Steve Austin
Eddie Guerrero -- to be inducted by Chavo Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Rey Mysterio
Mean Gene Okerland -- to be inducted by Hulk Hogan
Sensational Sherri Martel

More names may be announced or WWE may keep the others a secret. The obvious big two are Hart and Guerrero for obvious reasons but all are worthy, of course.

TNA RELEASES LINE UP FOR FIRST HOUSE SHOW

TNA is finally going to be doing the house show gig! The first show will be on March 17 in Detroit. The line up is as follows:

* NWA champ Christian Cage vs. Jeff Jarrett
*Sabu vs. Rhino vs. Abyss
* TNA X Division Champion Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles
* NWA Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted vs. The Naturals
* Monty Brown vs. Chris Sabin
* Petey Williams vs. Alex Shelley
* Jerry Lynn vs. Bobby Roode
* Shark Boy vs. Simon Diamond

Also appearing will be Scott D'Amore, A1, Eric Young, and The Insane Clown Posse.

MARTY JANNETTY GONE OR NOT FROM WWE?

Many fans are wondering why former Rocker Marty Jannetty showed up on Raw last week then was nowhere around this week and was declared by Vince McMahon to be out of WWE "forever". The truth is Marty is on probation stemming from legal incidences in the past and he was unable to travel to the show. Because of this, WWE had to rewrite the proposed storyline involving him but the door is wide open for Jannetty to return if he gets the clearance he needs to travel to the shows. Jannetty, in his myspace.com blog, is telling fans he hopes to clear up the travel issue very soon and to be back on WWE TV before Wrestlemania. I hope that happens. He's a great guy who got a little lost but is ready to come back and show what he can do. I'll keep you updated on Jannetty's status as I get it.

Shawn Michaels, Jannetty's former Rocker tag team partner, has indicated that he will be taking some time off after Wrestemania so any program that Jannetty and Michaels may have will have to be done quickly or after HBK's return.

STACY KEIBLER NOT BEING BOOKED ON WWE TV

Linda McMahon, in a conference call regarding WWE profits and losses, stated that Stacy Keibler, who came in third place on the popular ABC show "Dancing with the Stars" is not being figured into any future storylines at the present time. This seems to indicate that Stacy is already Hollywood bound. She has had meetings with the bigwigs at ABC to do future projects on the network and has been flooded with endorsement offers. I think it is insane for WWE not to have Stacy on TV until her contract is up in July. She has a whole new fan base who would tune in to see her and a perfect storyline to come back to. Candice Michelle made a crack at Stacy coming in third in the dance contest on this week's Raw but I don't think that will turn into anything storyline wise. But it should if WWE wanted to capitalize on her new fame.

Say tuned. Anything can happen and Stacy may turn up on WWE TV sooner or later before she departs for good.

I have much more to tell you but this is running long. I will be back with full WWL 6:05 Reunion pay per view spoilers for those interested in reading them, plus much more news this week.

I will see you on the forum and I am going to pin myself down for that chat I have been talking about. I will announce the date and time as soon as I secure the chat room. I hope you can all stop in and say hello!

Have a great week.
